Our Approach
Two Paths of Engagement
Whether you have a specific planning need or you desire to optimize your entire financial landscape, we’ll guide you through whichever process works best for you. We offer two primary paths of engagement when you work with Rogers Financial Group.
Targeted Solutions
Targeted Solutions focus on one aspect of your financial picture and typically include a view of the following areas:
Basic Net Worth Summary
One Simplified Retirement Calculation (Lump sum figures will be assumed/input for general expenses and total income sources per spouse.)
Basic Protection Review (Educational)
Basic Estate Review (Educational)
Standalone Investment Review
Targeted Solutions clients have the option to upgrade to comprehensive fee-based planning at any time.
Comprehensive Fee-Based Planning
Our comprehensive fee-based plans, which we call “Life Plans”, give you an overview of your entire financial landscape. This process typically includes:
Detailed Cash Flow Analysis
Projections for Potential Financial Scenarios
Customized Investment Review, Analysis, and Strategy
Protection Planning Optimization (life, disability, and long-term care insurance)
Estate Planning Review, Discussion, and Strategy
Legacy, Gifting and Charitable Planning

As applicable:
Business Planning Review, Discussion, and Strategy
As you work with Rogers Financial Group, we’ll adjust our process to suit your needs and timeframe. You may participate in additional meetings with our firm, but in general, this is the basic approach we use when guiding clients on their planning path. Our comprehensive fee-based clients will receive a holistic overview of their finances, while targeted solutions clients will receive guidance and recommendations for just one aspect of their financial plan. As such, comprehensive planning clients participate in additional meetings and analysis.

Step 1: Right Fit Meeting
(30-45 mins)
During this time, we will learn more about you, your financial wellbeing and discuss how we may work together moving forward through one of our paths of engagement.
Step 2: Discovery
(90 mins)
At our first meeting, we will be reviewing your current financial picture, as well as, crystallizing your goals and objectives for what you want your ideal life plan to be.
Step 3: Your Current Financial Outlook
(90 mins)
This time together will be spent reviewing your current financial outlook including risk mitigation, investment positioning, retirement income, cash flows, estate and legacy objectives and taxation. Our team will then present an ideal life plan that will align with your goals and objectives. From the ideal plan, you’ll be able to provide real-time feedback regarding which aspects of the plan you’d like to move forward with, revise or remove all together.
Step 4: Bringing the Future into Focus
(90-120 mins/session)
Our specific strategies and plan of action are always customized to your situation. During this phase of the process, we’ll deliver alternative options for your life plan based on feedback from our previous meeting
Step 5: Giving Life to the Plan
(time frame varies)
During this phase, we’ll guide you through the process of executing your new life plan. We’ll work with you through each step to ensure you make the necessary changes and consistently move closer to your goals and objectives.
Step 6: Monitor & Adjust
(ongoing)
Change happens, and that’s one of the beautiful things about life. Your new life plan is designed to grow and change with you, so we’ll periodically review your progress to ensure you’re always on track toward your goals.
